The best way to grow the economy and put Montanans back to work is to eliminate the regulatory barriers and streamline the permitting processes that are preventing development of our vast wealth of timber, oil, gas, coal, minerals and agricultural resources. We need to encourage businesses to locate here by eliminating the business equipment tax, lowering corporate income tax, and lowering workers compensation rates. We need to get government out of the way so our businesses can prosper.
We need to provide school choice through charter schools, vouchers and greater support for our homeschoolers. We need to develop a system for identifying and rewarding our best teachers. And, our local school districts must have more flexibility to determine their own funding priorities.
We need to take healthcare decision-making authority and funding away from the federal government and bring it back to Montana where it belongs. No more one-size-fits-all healthcare programs from the federal government.
